Pondicherry is approachable from Chennai Bus stand. There are frequent buses running from the Chennai for Pondicherry. It takes 3 to 4hrs to reach Pondicherry from Chennai. There are also bus services from Thanjur, Trichy, Chidabaram and Coimbatore.
